Manipur Technical University Announces B.Tech Admissions for 2024-25
Imphal, May 23, 2024 — The Office of the Registrar at Manipur Technical University (MTU), Imphal, has released an admission notice for B.Tech courses for the academic session 2024-25. Applications are invited for programs in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
Interested candidates can apply online or offline at the university's official website, www.mtu.ac.in, starting from May 24, 2024.
Application and Entrance Examination Fees

Availability of Application Forms
Application forms can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar, located at the Government Polytechnic Campus, Takyelpat. Additionally, forms are downloadable from the university website.
Eligibility Criteria
For Civil and Mechanical Engineering:
- Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
- Minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the above subjects combined.
For Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering:
- Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics, and one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Entrepreneurship.
- Minimum 45% marks (40% for reserved categories) in the above subjects combined.
Preference will be given to candidates who have appeared in the JEE (Main) Examination 2024 and should produce their JEE score card. For non-JEE candidates, an entrance test will be conducted for remaining seats.
Entrance Test Details
The entrance test will be objective type with multiple-choice questions, covering subjects of class XI and XII standards. The distribution of marks is as follows:
- Mathematics: 30
- Physics: 25
- Chemistry: 25
- English: 20
- Total: 100
Age Criteria
- Candidates born on or after July 31, 1999, are eligible.
- Age relaxation: 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST and PWD candidates.
- Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board Certificate will be considered.
